Laine is an international knitting and lifestyle magazine. Their new, beautiful summer edition, Laine 25, Stillness, takes you to an old summer cabin by the lake – hidden in the forest, surrounded by birch and pine trees, fresh water and blue skies. The photographs capture the quiet beauty and serenity of the Finnish summer. This edition contains 12 light and relaxed summer garments and accessories. The knits are knitted with various yarns suitable for summer, and they contain many interesting techniques and textures.

The Ice Cream cardigan from Maria Gomes is knitted with a delicate blend of baby alpaca, silk and merino wool, resulting in a lightweight fabric. The Bleuet scarf by Audrey Borrego is made with pure hemp yarn; its suppleness and softness make it a great choice for summer. The Sea T-shirt by Sus Gepard is knitted with a textured yarn spun in a linen-cotton blend, which provides an airy feel.

Looking for a layering jacket that you can wear over any summer outfit? We have some beautiful cardigans for you, like the adorable ruffled Diǎnxīn by Kaori Katsurada, or the versatile and relaxed ‘Orma’ by Marie-Ève Wedge! Or maybe try Linda Lencovic’s ‘Luminous sweater’: an oversized sweater that combines two yarns in contrasting shades. n this edition you will also find three beautiful scarves that will keep you warm during the cooler summer evenings!

For the perfect summer top, Laine recommends ‘Francisca’ by Antonio Jesús Castillo Urquízar, a boxy top with a simple cable and lace pattern, or ‘Kallos’ by Marina Storm, an elegant top with a combination of stockinette stitch and intricate lace. Both beautiful and unique in their own way!
