Cascade Yarns is a family business founded in Seatle in the late 1980s. In the 1980s, the most high-quality yarns came from England or Italy. Cascade looked to South America instead.
For Cascade, it didn’t matter where a yarn was made, as long as the materials were good, the spinning equipment good, and the workers happy and well trained.

On the left you can search by weight, composition and needle size. Please note that some yarns can be used on various needles, the weight per meter is more important than the needle thickness. Depending on how the knit should look like (lace / transparent or tight), you choose the needle.

If you want to know more about those weights , read the blog I have devoted to it.
