Uilenstad wool and sheep comes from the Netherlands. The yarn is spun in Germany. The yarn is only washed with soda and water. The shetland sheep of Uilenstad  give a soft and shetland wool.

Uilenstad’s Shetland sheep are fully vaccinated but do not receive unnecessary medical treatment.
They mainly eat grass, but also bark from trees and branches. They like shrubs best. In winter around the mating and during pregnancy they receive beet pulp and chunk. And after lambing, the ewes are also fed extra.
