Fonty, “Filature Rougnat” is one of the last factories in France for spinning and dyeing wool. Created in 1880 in Rougnat, a small village situated on the hills of the Creuse,
Fonty produces high-quality natural yarns from animal fur and vegetable fibers: merino, alpaca, yak, camel, mohair, angora, silk, cashmere, linen, cotton, bamboo. The raw materials are carefully traced and selected. The animal fur comes from local or regional breeders from France, Europe, Central Asia or one of the traditional wool countries of the Southern Hemisphere. The colors are obtained through environmentally friendly processes.
We have several yarns from Fonty, below you can select by yarn name.

On the left you can search by weight, composition and needle size. Please note that some yarns can be used on various needles, the weight per meter is more important than the needle thickness. Depending on how the knit should look like (lace / transparent or tight), you choose the needle.

If you want to know more about those weights , read the blog I have devoted to it.
