Interpretations Volume 8 – Joji Locatelli & Veera Välimäki

We are thrilled to publish the design series “Interpretations”, a collaboration between none other than Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki.

This series follows the journey of two friends, each on a different side of the world, combining their love for their country and beautiful knitwear.
Part 1 was the beginning of a completely new approach to design. Their dream project has developed into 8 beautiful collections.

Each volume contains six themes: six words with two designs inspired by each word, with a personal take on each of these themes. The 6 words Joji and Veera chose for their new collection are Challenge, Patience, Anticipation, Pace, Compassion and Emphasis! These beautiful books are guaranteed to become collector’s items. Not to mention a wonderful reference work that you can always refer to.

Following on from Volume 7, this year marks the second time the two designers have not gotten together to do the pattern photography for Interpretations. Due to travel restrictions, Joji and Veera took their photos in their respective home countries of Argentina and Finland. Nevertheless, we think this book is as cohesive as its predecessors, and reflects the hard work Joji and Veera put into making Volume 8 during a global pandemic!
