DIY Bird Cuffs (dutch only)

With loose cuffs you can make any sweater special!
These bird cuffs use the ‘fair isle’ technique (pattern is charted).
They do not have a thumb, so they can also be made by the a average experienced knitters, just practice knitting 2 colors.

The cuffs are knitted in the shetland yarn of BC Garn in the colors: OCRE-BSH-NY34, RUSTY OCRE-BSH-NY36 and CHESTNUT-BSH-NY31 But any other fingering yarn is possible, although it is better not to use super wash yarn.

Supplies:
– background color, 70 meters
– intrusion color 1 – birds, 54 meters
– intrusion color 2, 20 meters
– 4/5 double-pointed needles or a circular needle size 3 (3.5 mm) many people tend to knit tighter once they knit with 2 colors, sometimes it may be better to use a larger needle, hence 3.5 mm. Always make a gauge sample!
– darning needle
